TUI UK&I sends millions of people on holiday each year and the Sales and Marketing function is key to ensuring this is done as efficiently as possible. The finance team is an integral part of decisions around how our sales channels should be managed, how marketing spend is best optimised as well as providing controls around a cost-base of c.£300m .

Working alongside the Finance Manager Retail, the role is responsible for forecasting and reporting of all Retail trading and shop costs.  You will partner the retail estate team to support key decision making regarding the shop estate, supporting the production of business cases and provide detail analysis of the estate profitability. This role also holds responsibility for coordinating the overall sales targets for all distribution channels. 

The role is based in Luton, but at TUI we believe work is something you do not somewhere you go therefore we are happy to offer flexible working arrangements for this role and the successful candidate would be required to attend the office once a week on average.

ABOUT THE JOB

  • Retail trading and reporting:  You will prepare the forecast for retail sales commissions and discount (c.£50m). You will work with senior Retail staff to generate sales targets at a shop level and distribute these across the estate. You will oversee the calculation and payment of incentive costs. 
  • Retail estate:  You will work alongside the Finance Manager Retail in producing detailed and accurate costs forecasts highlighting any key risks and opportunities on an ongoing basis.  You will ensure all costs and spend is appropriately challenged.  You will work closely with the accounting team to during month-end to record correct costs and have overview of the balance sheets.
  • Shop portfolio analysis: You will oversee the generation and distribution of shop level P&L reporting ensuring accuracy of inputs and consistency of approach
  • Business cases: You will support the Finance Manager in producing shop business cases for lease renewals, 2 into 1 shops and new openings and closures.
  • Sales Channel Performance: You will be responsible for coordinating the sales channel targets through the ‘Left to Sell’ process’. This involves engaging with key stakeholders to ensure product level targets are accurate and working with representatives from each sales channel to agree an optimum split of passenger volume

ABOUT YOU

  • Part qualified accountant
  • Will have already worked in a commercial finance environment
  • Proactive attitude and approach
  • Excellent verbal and PowerPoint presentation skills

  • Strong analytical skills and able to deal with complexity and ambiguity
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
