Credit Manager

Job Description Supervises the preparation and dispatching of letters and notices on delinquent accounts. Audits the status of delinquent accounts with the Accounts Receivables Clerk on a monthly basis. Reviews accounts, develops and recommends new repayment terms dependant on the amount of outstanding payments. Reviews and oversees the lending criteria, determines the interest rates, loan terms and the economic health of the Company to determine the maximum amount that can be offered. Create credit cheque procedures and policies for new loan applicants. Prepares monthly and quarterly financial analysis reports to be submitted to the Board, detailing the status of delinquent and aged accounts, the current and forecasted financial status of accounts and projects, all new accounts for the required period and any other requirements. Monitors end of day cash flow and updates records accordingly. Liaises with suppliers to negotiate payments and payment terms for current expenditures. Prepares and submits weekly and monthly reports to the CFO. Performs portfolio risk assessments to determine the asset quality and identify credit benefits to the Company. Provides training for collection representatives and credit department personnel, ensuring they are kept abreast of all new developments within the department i.e. changes in processes, approvals, new accounts and systems, etc. Performs any other duties as required by Management in the interest of achieving the company's goals and objectives. Requirements: A minimum of five (5) years' experience in a similar position. A minimum of a First Degree in Finance, Accounting E-Commerce or Business Management. Proven track record in effective debt recovery management. Ability to analyze and present statistical data using Microsoft Excel Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite. Strong customer service orientation skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment Must be results oriented, analytical and resourceful.
