Financial Controller

Financial Controller €65k Dublin West Our client is a well-established and profit making Irish subsidiary of a leading business services  group. They operate as the trading business unit for the Irish market in which they are a market leader. They are currently seeking a Financial Controller who will become an integral part of the local management team. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional with good commercial skills. As with many multinationals, you will report from a financial viewpoint to a regional Finance Director but will work closely with the Irish Managing Director and the local Irish team. You will be responsible for the day to day operation of the company's finance function (team of 4). Your responsibilities will include: -Overall responsibility for financial function and preparation of all related reporting (weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually). -Motivate and direct the core finance team and ensure ongoing development . -Analyse and present financial data in a format intelligible to non-finance staff (sales team / service team etc). -Active involvement in both operational and strategic business initiatives. -Ultimately directing and ensuring the timely submission of all reports to regional directors. -Ensuring corporate and regulatory compliance including contact with local auditors. -Reviewing business metrics and ensuring best practice with respect to stocking, supply chain management etc. Qualifications: -Accredited accounting qualification with some prior experience of people management. -Strong commercial skills and an interest in broader trading / business issues. -Competent knowledge of accounting software and technology.
