Financial Accountant (Bio) Dublin

Financial Accountant required to support the EUMEA Senior Finance Manager with regular and ad hoc financial reporting activities for this leading bio facility in Dublin. 23 month contract initially. Contact Ann 021 4701100 Role Bank reconciliation process, which will include: Performing the bank reconciliations for the majority of the EUMEA bank accounts on a weekly basis (in preparation for this bank reconciliation activities may be required on a day-to-day basis) Coordinating the posting of cash transactions not posted by way of the sub-ledger Posting designated cash transactions Preparation of monthly journal entries Perform/Review monthly reconciliations Accrual preparation and analysis Detailed analytical review of financial data Contribute to team effort and assist co-workers as needed Identify opportunities for continuous process improvements and innovative solutions so the team can operate in an efficient manner Assist with adhoc EUMEA Finance activities Education Essential - Minimum three years relevant experience in Finance and Accounting Corporate accounting experience with Close and international experience in a complex environment with conflicting priorities Strong accounting, interpersonal, analytical thinking and organisational skills Oracle experience desirable Proficiency in PC skills (particularly Word and Excel) Ability to work independently and within a team Ability to work under pressure and to handle several projects at once Strong technical accounting skills i.e. good knowledge of accounting standards Strong analytical skills Knowledge of US GAAP Familiarity with Sarbanes Oxley and internal controls
