About the opportunity

The role of the Assurance Analyst is to provide independent and objective assurance to senior management, the Board and the Audit Committee on the effectiveness of Bupa's risk management, control and governance processes. The Assurance Analyst will assist Bupa in achieving its strategic goals by bringing a systematic and disciplined approach to the evaluation and improvement of these processes.

Reporting to the Internal Audit Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Contribute as an auditor on assignments to deliver high quality assurance work outcomes and complete tasks efficiently.
  • Develop key internal and external relationships to undertake assurance work competently, communicate results and progress recommendations made during reporting of internal audits completed and to maintain the highest standards of professional conduct, discretion and objectivity.
  • Work autonomously to deliver quality work, following the agreed work-plan to ensure key risks are identified and verify the effectiveness of the controls over the key risks identified.
  • Assist in the preparation of high quality work-papers in accordance with the Global Audit Methodology.
  • Assist in delivering high quality outcomes to the Business through providing relevant and commercially minded findings.
  • To assist in various special project or ad-hoc assurance requests as appropriate under the direction of the Internal Audit leadership team.
  • Your background

    To be successful in this role you will be a highly motivated and pro-active finance professional, with at-least 2+ years Audit experience.

    More specifically, you will also possess the following experience;

  • Completed, undertaking or a desire to undertake professional qualifications (CA, CPA, CIA, etc)
  • Well-developed organisational skills with the ability to prioritise work effectively
  • Good understanding of governance, risk and control principles with a commercial mindset
  • Proven ability to meet strict deadlines in an organised manner
  • Interest and working knowledge of Internal Audit and Bupa
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to use initiative and deliver exceptional customer service
  • Confidence in liaising with people at all levels
