Description

Reporting to the Finance Manager, this Assistant Management Accountant role is to support the accountancy function in month end shut down, with reporting and analysis. Key duties will include:

• Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts
• Support the preparation of annual budgets
• Monthly forecasting and variance analysis
• Reporting key management information to be presented to senior management
• Maintenance of the fixed asset register and capitalisation reports
• Sales reporting and margin analysis
• Product and standard costing
• Assist in general ledger reconciliations

Profile

The successful applicant will ideally have the following skills and experience:

• Experience of working in a management accounts role
• Understanding of manufacturing processes including costing would be advantageous
• Strong Excel and analytical skills
• Good communicator across all levels
• Inquisitive approach looking for constant development of processes
• Excellent attention to detail
