JOB DESCRIPTION:

The selected candidate will form part of a growing Depositary Team in Malta. The selected candidate will be responsible for the delivery of Depositary Services, focusing on the following specific duties:

  • Actively participating in the day to day operational depositary work, ensuring compliance of Alternative Investment Funds with regulations, with a focus on the following depositary duties.
  • Cash monitoring
    1. Monitor cashflows at fund level
    2. Identify and review significant cash flows
  • Oversight duties
    1. Review process of valuations of assets and limited partnership interest
    2. Timely settlement of transactions including income distribution
    3. Monitor subscriptions and redemptions
    4. Periodic due diligence and review of key operational processes.
  • Safe keeping
    1. Verify existence and the ownership of assets.
    2. Hold records of the investments.
    3. Perform periodic asset reconciliation.
  • Performing analysis and controls in order to mitigate the risk linked to depositary services.
  • Participating in performing due diligence on our third parties.
  • Being the clients’ contact point for both operational topics and the management of internal and external parties’ relationships such as Asset Managers, Administrators, Auditors, etc.
  • Assisting with onboarding new clients

YOUR PROFILE:

  • You are fluent in English (knowledge of another language will be considered as an asset.)
  • You show interest in the Financial Sector and specifically in the Private Equity and Real Estate Industry.
  • You have 0 to 2 years of relevant experience.
  • You have very good knowledge of MS Office. Specially Excel.
  • You are organized, flexible and able to manage several tasks.
  • You are comfortable learning and working on new software (training will be provided).
  • You are keen to work in a small structure and combine a large autonomy with necessary attention to detail.
  • You are dynamic and have excellent communication skills.

This role is based in Malta as part of our Europe-wide centre of finance excellence. Our corporate language is English.
