EMEIA Tax Sub Service Line Strategy Execution Senior Manager

The opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Manager to see ‘the business of our business’ and support EMEIA Tax Leadership in executing Sub Service Line strategy. A high performing Manager will also be considered.The role could be a permanent career move from client service to EMEIA Tax or a 2-year full-time assignment. The role is full-time and fully funded centrally. The Senior Manager will directly report to the EMEIA Tax Director of Operations.

The EMEIA Tax Sub Service Line Strategy Execution Senior Manager monitors progress of key Sub Service Line initiatives and facilitates communication channels between Global SSL Leadership and EMEIA Tax Leadership Team. They are also the key contact point and connection between the Sub Service Line teams and the EMEIA Tax teams.

Your key responsibilities

  • Act as conduit between EMEIA Tax Leadership Team and Sub Service Line Teams, a key role in the EMEIA Tax Core Team
  • Lead the preparations for the Sub Service Line Cadence calls, setting the discussion points, managing the follow up actions and reporting to stakeholders
  • Work with Markets on Sub Service Line and cross service line matters and initiatives. This includes developing the EMEIA activation plans and driving the EMEIA Tax Markets meetings
  • Manage EMEIA Tax contribution to cross Sub Service Line services and initiatives, including identifying opportunities and working with cross Sub Service Line teams, in close alignment with EMEIA BD team
  • Provide support to EMEIA Leadership in responding to and managing Global Sub Service Line asks
  • Ad hoc project support on key initiatives and strategic projects
  • Monitor and collate Sub Service Line regional financial performance feedback following EMEIA Tax Leadership requests
  • Manage Sub Service Line input into EMEIA Tax, EMEIA and Global strategic meetings
  • Be the liaison between various EMEIA Tax teams (including Talent, Learning and Transformation)
  • Coordinate activities, driving greater market focus/ alignment across the Sub Service Lines
  • Events: Support Annual EMEIA Executive Tax Update and Ad hoc webcasts and/ or workshops
  • Limited travel required in the post Covid environment

Skills and attributes for success

To qualify for the role you must have

  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and leaders to facilitate collaboration and team effectiveness
  • Strong team spirit and drive to collaborate in a complex and diverse global structure but also operate independently in a cross-border team
  • Business acumen needed to work with senior leadership to drive results
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Strong team working skills across geographically dispersed virtual teams

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Prior experience with EY internal operational SSL matters is preferred
