Finance Consultant - Senior Manager

The Opportunity

There is an opportunity within the new EY Pythagoras consultancy team for a Lead ERP Finance Consultant. As a Lead Finance Application Consultant, you will provide consultancy services to our clients based around the Microsoft Dynamics 365 platform & its associated technologies. The opportunity involves working closely with customers and stakeholders, building relationships, along with trust & confidence within the service the project delivery team will provide, ultimately leading towards EY’s purpose of Building a better working world.

Your Key Responsibilities

• The primary role encompasses all elements of a full project lifecycle. A broad product exposure is expected but the focus of the role will be on financial ledgers, finance modules & related business processes. The applicant should take ownership in projects of the business processes in the finance area (Record to Report) working with the client to design & implement best practice solutions for these processes.
• A large element of the role will be to assist the project delivery team to develop their human skills, to ensure that as a team, they can help build class leading consulting capabilities. As the EY consultancy team grows, the applicant should operate in the capacity of supporting the integration of all the EY Pythagoras teams; being able to work with individuals to bring out their potential in building relationships with other project team members providing honest assessments & finding strategies to improve delivery. They should also help build similar relationships with customer project teams to enable delivery of exceptional client experiences.
• The applicant should be able to use their experience to show less financially experienced team members, the “why” as to why a process is being done, in order to understand how to apply D365 solutions to meet requirements of a process.
• The applicant will work with other team members in developing product strategy & innovation. They would be expected to identify opportunities that new features in D365 F&O would present for top line growth & improvement of the customer experience. There could be elements of work with both customers (as an after-sales) or with the Pre-sales team demonstrating applications of new features.
• Collaborate with colleagues to design solutions for those areas which impact finance directly but that also have an operational impact.
• Time spent on revenue generation would probably take 60% of the role, with 20% working with team members in an assessment or coaching role & 20% on preparing presentations, researching new features, demonstrating applications, working on innovation projects.

To Qualify for the role you must have

• Formal finance certification such as AAT, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent
• Microsoft Certification MB310: Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance

Ideally, you will also have

• Partner-side consultancy experience
• Lead / Senior Consultant position experience
• Relevant demonstrable experience in a client-side finance role
• Proven lifecycle delivery of multiple Dynamics 365 projects
