Accounts Payable Manager job for a Travel company located in Trafford paying up to £42k

This highly reputable and successful travel company are looking for a new accounts payable manager to run the function. This is a great opportunity to join an ever-growing organisation and lead the accounts payable function.

Your new role
Your role will consist of:

• Managing dynamic Accounts Payable Teams to ensure the end-to-end accounts payable functions are managed efficiently and cohesively within tight timelines.
• Managing the payables process, including ensuring that outsourced activities are delivered and aligned to agreed service levels.
• Manage supplier queries and escalate where necessary
• Creditors management - Work with each payables team to ensure creditors are set up correctly and the necessary financial protection is in place.
• Generate and produce reports on an adhoc basis for review to Management as required.
• Analyse the team's performance on a regular basis to ensure procedures are being adhered to.
• Deliver an excellent service to our suppliers and clients
• Working with other teams in finance and the business to resolve issues to ensure timelines are met
• Planning, prioritising own and team's workload and ensuring deadlines are achieved; customer queries/disputes are resolved quickly and efficiently.
• Instigating a service culture and customer service orientation in the teams.
• Leading, motivating, developing and managing the team.
• Providing learning and development opportunities for the team members, including personal development plans, and ensure company values are embedded.
• Applying the performance framework to support team member's development and engage in meaningful performance evaluations.
• Developing continuous improvement initiatives with the team.
• Input to working processes being documented, standardised, modified in a controlled manner.
• Managing and reporting of team KPIs and process controls as per Service Management Framework.
• Leading or participating in departmental/companywide projects as required

What you'll need to succeed

You will need to have previous experience in a managerial role within the accounts payable function. You must be meticulous and abide by the company values while expressing those values within your work. Having previous ERP systems experience will be highly advantageous to your application. Experience in change management and proven procure to pay transformation experience will be highly advantageous to your application.
