The Opportunity

Working within the Chapter Financial Planning and Reporting, you will be an integral member of the Commercial Finance network, providing expertise and support to business locations globally. You will work closely with the Chapter Lead, other members of this Chapter and other Chapters (Business Analysis and Commercial Process Oversight) to deliver the key activities (End to end financial planning (T3, Business Plan, T0), countries performance tracking reports, management cockpit etc)

You will actively contribute to an environment that promotes trust, transparency and a customer centricity that inspires and motivates peers across the network to develop and adopt an agile way of working.

Within this role, your responsibilities will fall into these main areas:

Process and delivery

  • Ensure efficient and on-time delivery of work and drive process standardization and “grab ‘n go” wherever possible.
  • Guide the business in meeting short to long-term goals by enabling relevant financial and non-financial information
  • Drive design and implementation of a simple and fit-for-purpose process that captures key strategic directions and effectively prioritizes work within the chapter
  • Regular input into the IT system demand planning process to ensure systems are continuously evolving and meeting user needs
  • Participates in formulating a chapter finance strategy balancing global requirements, scope of services and service levels with stakeholders needs
  • Represent the chapter in current or future financial communities

  • Support our people to be mindful and action oriented, by translating data into actionable insights
  • Stimulate an environment to support smart experiments, rapid iterations and ability to scale
  • Proactively identify key challenges and opportunities and assess their impact on the organization

Personal Leadership and development

  • Support the implementation of the new ways of working across the Chapters, whilst contributing to the finance transformation journey
  • Potentially act as an interim support for some specific roles / durations for a finance business proximity role

Who You Are

You’re someone who wants to influence your own development. You’re looking for a company where you have the opportunity to pursue your interests across functions and geographies. You’ll have an undergraduate degree in business/commerce, finance, business informatics, economics or similar and be fluent in English.

Experience

You will have 2-3 years of finance experience, or 5 year experience working in a country commercial organization, and experience in driving continuous improvement, simplification and value-add focus. Preferably you’ll also have experience with DC information systems and working in an agile/networked organization.

Skills and Competencies

Furthermore you will demonstrate:

  • Experience in driving continuous improvement, simplification and value-add focus - leveraging opportunities to standardise, and working to automate processes (with IT partners as needed)
  • Advanced Spreadsheet Experience essential
  • RoDIS/PowerBI/other reporting/dashboarding experience advantageous
  • Experience of working with Financial Planning systems and E2E processes for standard planning events BP/T3/T0 and ad-hoc forecasting

Location

We are currently looking for local representation from Poland and Asian markets. Possible locations: any of the following Diabetes Care sites in Poland (Warsaw), China (Shanghai), Japan (Tokyo), India (Mumbai), Singapore, Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur), or Thailand (Bangkok). (Basel is mentioned as ‘primary location’ for administrative reasons only.)
