Liverpool City Centre - Hybrid working
Robert Walters are proud to represent a Global Business as they seek to recruit an experienced Accounts Payable Supervisor at their offices based in Liverpool City Centre with Hybrid working an option.
The main focus of the Accounts Payable Supervisor role is to manage the day to day activities of the Accounts Payable team and support senior management with strategic and continuous improvement activities.
Responsibilities include:
Responsible for day-to-day management of Accounts Payable team
Main escalation point for the Payments as part of escalation process
Manage third party and inter-company supplier payments
Responsible for the management of all supplier account escalations/disputes and maintaining relationships with suppliers
Ensure invoice query mailboxes are managed with agreed SLA's as agreed in escalation procedure
Managing various daily AP and Payment reports and action accordingly
Preparation of the weekly payment files and distributes to the required functions
Manage & Support any Statutory / Audit requirements/request that may be received from the various regions
Manages one time Vendor payment process ensuring all requests are processed within agreed SLA's
Develop and maintain positive relationships with banks and Treasury team
Ensure company policies & procedures regarding bank approval process, SOX Compliance are strictly followed
Support training and development across the team
Experience and Skills required:
Experience of managing an Accounts Payable team within a large organisation is ESSENTIAL
Ability to run reports and check KPIs regularly
Experience of building networks/relationships with key stakeholders and/or vendors
Strong organisation and planning skills
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Attention to detail, with ability to meet deadlines and manage team as required
Strong leadership skills with ability to influence and motivate.
Pro Active Mind set and experience of end-to-end P2P processes
Knowledge of basic accounting principles
