Business Analyst

This state government body is undertaking several key business projects around adopting a more deliberate innovative, customer focus, supported by a Business Analysis Community of Practice and new approaches and capabilities to deliver solutions. They are are seeking multiple Business Analysts with strong process mapping and re-engineering skills and exposure to Salesforce CRM for a key business project.

Key accountabilities

• Ensure analysis activities deliver high-quality outcomes for the organisation, using advanced facilitation skills, and encouraging collaboration, innovation and a strong focus on the customer experience
• Lead the identification of business and stakeholder requirements through consultation with business stakeholders and SMEs, customers and external stakeholders
• Deliver business analysis artefacts, including requirements specifications, process and data models, in accordance with the framework and methodology applicable to the specific project / work stream
• Facilitation of workshops to gather, inform, socialise, and gain acceptance of business analysis deliverables, ensuring that these are well understood and agreed by all relevant stakeholders
• Collaborate in the planning, design, development, and deployment of new business processes and applications, and enhancements to existing processes and applications
• Contribute to the development and implementation of processes, techniques, and methods that enable the business analysis team to work efficiently and deliver quality outcomes
• Estimation and planning of business analysis activities and taking responsibility for the delivery of BA deliverables, ensuring that timeframes are achieved to plan

Skills and experience

• Proven experience in Business Analysis roles within a large complex environment (government experience highly regarded)
• Exposure to Salesforce CRM
• Solid skill in business analysis techniques, methodologies, and tools
• Proven experience in the estimation and planning of Requirements Management, Analysis and Documentation activities
• Experience building productive stakeholder relationships at senior executive / Executive Director levels
• Negotiate with, influence and build consensus with a range of stakeholders
• Ability to negotiate and manage competing priorities within tight timeframes
• Demonstrated ability to apply up to date business analysis practices and industry trends
