The opportunity   

The Digital & Emerging Technology team works collaboratively with clients to transform their business through disruptive innovation enablement and transformational design solutions. The team supports our clients in modernizing systems, processes and products to enhance business and customer-facing platforms and services to support high performance in a rapidly changing and competitive environment. Our team helps clients sustain competitive advantage and profitability by developing technology strategies, products, and solutions to stay ahead of the rapid pace of change and disruption and supporting the execution of complex transformations.    

We are looking for Cloud Architects who have worked with modern software solutions.  While our teams primary focus is within the financial services industries, you will have opportunities to support other sectors including healthcare, automotive, high-tech, and media.  

Your key responsibilities 

The goal is to support our clients to transform their business problems through cloud architecture solutions.  You will assist engagement teams through the analysis of specific business requirements for alignment with technology architecture, deliver quality client solutions, and communicate progress to client engagement teams.  You will demonstrate in-depth technical capabilities and professional knowledge.  In addition you will support practice building activities such as team mentorship and proposal deck development. 

Skills and attributes for success 

• Deliver architecture solutions through all phases of the project lifecycle, including requirements definition, architecture design, conversion, and testing; based on a proven agile methodology. 
• Demonstrate hands-on technical capabilities in multiple programming languages with broad knowledge in integration techniques, solution architecture and project methodologies.  
• Effectively work with client engagement teams with diverse skills and backgrounds fostering an innovative and inclusive work environment.   
• Demonstrate understanding of current technology environment and industry trends and provide recommendations for engagement and client service issues.   

To qualify for the role you must have 

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems Management, Accounting, Finance, or a related field and 8 years of experience (of which 5 years must be progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience). Alternatively, will accept a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems Management, Accounting, Finance, or a related field and 7 years of work experience. 
• Must have 7 years of experience with at least one of the following programming languages: Java, Scala, Python, C#, or C++ 
• 5 years of experience in implementation and development experience of security/encryption On-Prem-Cloud integration and on Cloud components. 
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Cloud Native platforms including the design and automation of Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS) capabilities including virtual networks, virtual machines, cloud services, container services, data center OS services, web sites, and data services.   
• Experience in developing all of the following: Cloud Fitment Models, Cloud Business Case, Cloud Architecture and Design, Cloud Security, Cloud Infrastructure, and Network & storage Design.   
• Must have 4 years of experience using at least one native cloud development framework such as: 
• Spring boot 
• Netflix OSS 
• Spring cloud.  
• Must have 5 years of combined experience designing and implementing APIs, including experience in at least one of the following:   
• REST 
• SOAP 
• HTTP 
• UDP 
• Must have 4 years of experience understanding the key differences to architect and design enterprise cloud native solutions (12factor.net) compared to traditional data center-based solutions. 
• Must have 3 years of experience with a minimum of one CICD technologies such as (Jenkins, GitHub, BitBucket, Spinnaker, CircleCI, Bamboo). 
• Must have 3 years of combined experience with a minimum of at least one Infrastructure as a Code technologies such as: 
• Chef 
• Puppet 
• Ansible 
• Terraform 
• Packer ​​​
• Cloud Formation 
• Azure ARM 
• Deployment Manager 
• Experience with a minimum of one scripting languages such as: 
• Shell scripting 
• Python 
• Powershell  
• Must have 7 years of combined experience with a minimum of at least one relational database system such as MySQL, MS SQL Server, Oracle. 
• Must have 5 years of experience with front end technologies such as: JavaScript, Node.js, Angular.js, or Backbone 
• Must have 5 years of experience with a minimum of one or a combination of Enterprise Architecture Frameworks such as TOGAF, Zachmans and DODAF. 
• Requires domestic and regional travel up to 80% to serve client needs. 

 Ideally, you’ll also have 

• Certification on any major cloud platform – AWS, Google, Azure 
• Relevant industry certification (e.g., TOGAF, AWS Cloud Certified, Pivotal Certified, CISSP, etc.).  
• Experience working in Middleware products such as TIBCO, MuleSoft, IBM Message Broker, etc.
