AVP, Manager, Compliance - International Commercial Bank

A well-established International Commercial Bank is expanding their footprints in APAC region is seeking a potential leader who are familiar with HK regulations, solid experience in compliance advisory and review with exposure in Private Banking, Investigation and Investment Compliance for their commercial and corporate banking side

This post is responsible for leading a team in compliance and report to the Head of Compliance

Job Responsibilities

• Provide compliance advice to different business units of the Bank in the development, implementation and assurance of due compliance with statutory, regulatory and internal requirements
• Conduct compliance review in to ensure compliance with internal policies/guidelines as well as external regulatory requirements
• Proactively identify, assess, report and mitigate the compliance risks of local and overseas operations
• Execute investment Compliance Risk Assignment (CRA) including checking on pre- and post-trades to identify non-compliance incidents, providing compliance advisory, conducting investigations in respect of investments

Profile

This is a position which requires Strong leadership and compliance knowledge in products, coupled with good interpersonal and presentational skills. You will also be a good team player and an excellent leader who innovates and looks for new solutions to existing problems.

Education & Experience

• Degree in Law, Business, Finance, Economics or related disciplines
• Minimum 4-6 years of relevant experience in banking industry
• Deep understanding on banking laws, the HKMA & SFC rules & regulations

Skills & Abilities

• Good leadership, communication and interpersonal skills, with excellence in project and time management
• Proficiency in both English and Chinese, fluency in Putonghua an advantage
