The Opportunity
Transport for NSW are currently recruiting for an experienced Manager, Reporting & Analysis to join our Corporate Services Division. This role would be suitable for someone who has previously worked in Senior PMO Analyst / Performance Analyst / Reporting manager roles.
The role is responsible for managing a team of staff to perform project, program and portfolio governance across all IT projects and programs. The role manages the portfolio quality assurance function for IT and delivers key activities to support efficient and effective business operations.
The role operates with a high level of autonomy and is expected to determine key operational objectives within the limits of delegated authority. The role is accountable for the delivery of assigned work and is responsible for the quality, integrity and validity of the service provided. The role defers to the manager on issues that have a significant political impact or issues outside of financial delegation.

The salary for this position is Transport Grade 9 ($138,670 - $155,309) per annum plus 10% superannuation and annual leave loading.

On a day-to-day basis you will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Ensure governance alignment for all portfolios, provide monitoring and escalation paths for program related issues or risks to ensure resolution of issues and adherence to project management and governance requirements.
- Oversee the performance of high-risk high-profile projects to ensure project delivery is within approved funding, milestones and project parameters as defined in the business case.
- Conduct due diligence on project submissions including reviewing business case information such as project estimates, schedules, delivery approach, financials and resource plans to ensure projects are realistic and can achieve required objectives and ensure consistency, alignment and transparency with project status, reporting and governance guidelines.
- Conduct and manage internal health checks and post project implementation reviews and manage regular review meetings with projects and programs to discuss and challenge project health, uncover issues and recommend an appropriate course of action, capturing lesson's learnt from the project.
- Validate and provide quality assurance and feedback on reported information including progress updates, achievements, program health including time, cost and quality requirements, risks and issues.

About You
To be successful in these roles you will need:
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications or demonstrated, relevant, equivalent professional experience.
- Previous experience in Senior PMO Analyst / Performance Analyst / Reporting manager roles.
- Identifying program risks, issues and areas of non-compliance proactively and influencing and supporting the business to meet governance and project requirements.
- Excellent problem solving, analytical and highly developed communications skills.
- Strong data analysis, communication, problem solving analysis and writing skill with the ability to present research and data in a clear and concise manner to a range of key audience groups.
- Ability to manage time and meet deadlines while balancing competing priorities.
- Balance competing demands and stakeholder requirements effectively to ensure key deliverables are met within the required timeframes.
- Motivate and drive staff to drive high quality project outcomes that meet project and governance requirements.
- Provide regular reporting to key stakeholders and the executive to ensure key program level information is communicated promptly and facilitates high level decision making.
- Provide high level advice to projects on appropriate project/program structure including frameworks and tools, governance structure, technical governance requirements and project infrastructure.
- Demonstrate the behaviours to deliver organisational outcomes for our customers, our people and communities for the greater good.
