About the role

The Finance Manager will be responsible for providing accurate and timely financial analytics and reporting and be responsible for managing and improving routine financial operations.

As the Finance Manager, you will lead two direct reports and have ownership of the full set of financial and management accounts, P&L and balance sheet, reconciliations, and reporting, planning and analysis, cash flow management and the stat accounts. You will provide the business with decision-making insights and support the Executive Team in leading the business with sound financial stewardship.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the financial reporting, including monthly management reporting, statutory reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable, inventory, fixed assets, fundraising and bequests
  • Manage payroll, including superannuation and workers compensation obligations
  • Provide support to the People and Culture with remuneration and other employment activities
  • Manage the tax compliance, cashflow, banking, investments, and insurance
  • Manage the annual audit process and production of annual financial statements
  • Supervise and train finance team

Essential Criteria and Success factors of the role:

  • Qualified accountant - CA or CPA. With experience in finance transformation
  • Accounting software and pay roll experience - preferably Xero
  • Knowledge of industrial awards and other employment related regulations is desirable
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Collaborate with a close team and demonstrates great interpersonal skills

  • Police check clearance
