My client one of the largest music companies in the world are looking for a ambitious and motivated finance and royalties analyst who has strong experience in the Music industry

The role will include royalty accounting, budgeting, planning, forecasting, reporting, and analysing spend as well as managing the accounting and reporting to our key artists. . This is a unique role that sits at the core of a transformative creative business whilst collaborating globally with teams around the world. The ideal candidate should have the right combination of entrepreneurial hustle, experience working with music royalties and a passion for making things run smoothly.

Key Qualifications
  • Experience of working in the creative industries, ideally with music royalties
  • Self-starter who takes initiative and can work without continuous instruction. Takes ownership for the role and its output
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work with diverse and global teams
  • Great written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail


You will:
  • Be responsible for managing the entire payment cycle for monthly royalty payment runs. This includes updating the Payment Team and the royalty accounting system with payments made. And being the main point of contact internally and externally for all royalty payment queries
  • Liaise with the payment team when artist payments are returned , and work to get the issues resolved.
  • Receive publishing statements, and create the payment templates to ensure that the Payment Team has all the necessary data they need to pay publishing royalties.
  • Create and circulate a monthly report of US download sales (publishing) on behalf of our artists and send it to the relevant internal team for further processing
  • Help maintain systems to streamline accounting for various music revenue streams
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders (product, legal, tax, policy, support etc) to prepare new products for launch

Education & Experience
  • BS/BA degree required
