Who we are looking for

The Operations Associate within GPD UIT is responsible for accurately processing and valuing Unlisted Investment transactions (trades and Corporate Actions) to our Accounting systems. The role involves interaction with various units locally and overseas. The associate should possess the ability to learn new skills, embrace change and communicate effectively. Effective communication, accuracy, timeliness and delivery of client service are imperative in this position.

The individual acts as a first level resource within assigned business unit to process transactions in accordance to established procedures

This role can be performed in a hybrid model, where you can balance work from home and office to match your needs and role requirements

What you will be responsible for

As Operations Associate you will


  • Carry out basic processing activities, including trade processing, Corporate Action booking, valuation, and reconciliation, in accordance with established procedures.
  • Answer and handle accounting queries and escalate as needed acting with a sense of urgency to meet required deliverables.
  • Work closely with inter-departmental contacts in processing all necessary events to ensure risk mitigation.
  • Identify risk issues, breaches and act in accordance with the 'risk' escalation chain and operating procedures.
  • Be accountable for assigned tasks and deadline.
  • Work closely with the Team Leader and bring issues that require management attention on a timely manner
  • Support the business to offer great quality client service and ensure that the assigned deliverables are planned and delivered efficiently


What we value

  • Major in Finance or accounting is preferred
  • Experience in financial services and/or a back-office operations environment is preferred
  • Strong excel skills would be an added advantage


Education & Preferred Qualifications


  • Bachelor degree or above
  • PC skills, specifically Excel skills (Intermediate)
  • Written and verbal in English


Additional requirements


  • Early shift is acceptable (Early Shift will start from 6:30 & 7:00 AM )
  • Working on Chinese public holiday is acceptable
  • Average 20 hours over time working per month is acceptable
  • Tight deadlines for daily work is acceptable, have good time management skill
  • Able to pay attention to detail and a focus on accounting service. Ensure the accuracy of accounting data delivery.
  • Strong English reading and writing skills, can read transaction instructions accurately, can send Email notification in English
  • Ability to work well in a fast paced, high volume atmosphere
  • For task allocation can accept the team arrangement
  • Accept KPI assessment based on Accuracy and Timeliness
  • Good team player – strong cooperation spirit, can support team and team mates to complete daily work
  • Have a clear understanding of fund accounting work, and firmly deciside to take this industry as a long-term career development
