Your field of responsibility

An outstanding opportunity to lead a team of finance professionals, support the Executive Board and develop your interest in the Wealth Management business. You will join key executive level committees which oversee capital and liquidity requirements for the legal entity working closely with the Treasury, Tax and Risk departments. You will anticipate, address, and manage the response to changes required by the Senior Manager Regime, SMR, on behalf of the CFO who also holds the SMR responsibility. You will ensure the production and integrity of financial information, Statutory Financial and Regulatory Reporting, provide valued, high quality financial information and advice to support the business in decision making and the Credit Suisse (UK) Limited (‘CSUK’) Board in building and driving the entity strategy.

You will lead a team of 2 VPs and an AVP based in London supported by the Group Finance team in India and will join the wider EMEA Legal Entity Finance team with colleagues across the region.

CSUK is a Private Bank and is authorised by the Prudential Regulation Authority (‘PRA’) and is regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (‘FCA’) and the PRA. CSUK is within the CS group’s International Wealth Management (‘IWM’) division and offers comprehensive advisory services and tailored investment and financing solutions to wealthy private clients and external asset managers in UK, Continental Europe, Emerging Europe, NRI, the Middle East and Africa. CSUK maintains its objective to be the private bank of choice to upper High Net Worth and Ultra High Net Worth individuals. The business focuses on gaining net new assets both from new clients as well as existing clients through various business development initiatives and differentiated products and services. The entity has a significant lending book of c£3bn and Assets Under Management (AuM) of c£11bn.

Your skills and experience 

You are an outstanding finance professional with an interest in wealth management and the ability to interact at Board level. You can build exceptional internal and external relationships and can explain complex financial information clearly and succinctly to non-Finance business partners.

  • An accounting qualification is essential and must be supported by senior level experience in a finance role ideally in a Bank or Wealth Management organisation
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to engage multiple business partners of different levels of seniority across the firm
  • Outstanding team management and leadership skills, ability to coach, manage and develop staff and to leverage talent in other departments
  • Familiarity with the UK regulatory regime, including awareness of key prudential requirements for banks and ideally with experience of regulatory interaction
  • Proactive, questioning mind-set with the ability to constructively challenge processes and fully understand the numbers
  • Experience of interacting with external and internal auditors
  • Proven experience in strategic reviews and change implementation
  • Dedication to fostering an inclusive culture and value diverse perspectives
