Description

  • Manage and prepare the monthly management accounts, including analysis of accounts, journal postings, balance sheet reconciliations, and other month end processing functions.
  • Responsible for the preparation and analysis of Balance Sheet account Reconciliations, Manufacturing Statement, Income Statement and Profit and Loss accounts
  • Manage and prepare monthly capital expenditure reporting along with asset valuation and depreciation schedules. Preparation and submission of monthly cash flow forecasting requirements, liaising with head office as required
  • Responsible for subledger Period-end processing along with Year-end Ledger closing submissions
  • Preparation, processing, and review of monthly general ledger general and standing journals
  • Processing of monthly bank account reconciliations, for both local and foreign currency bank accounts
  • Reconciliation and handling of petty cash and reimbursement requirements
  • Handle all processing of the Accounts Payable accounting transactions including, recording of supplier invoices, monthly supplier statement reconciliations, including intercompany accounts, and setting up monthly payments to suppliers using the online banking platforms
  • Handle all processing for the Accounts Receivable accounting transactions, recording of sales invoices and allocation of cash receipting to the customer's account. Reconciliation and sending out monthly customer account statements, following up payment on any overdue sales invoices
  • Responsible for the monthly preparation of the company payroll, uploading statutory lodgements and preparing electronic payments in line with statutory requirements
  • Manage and support the administration and reconciliation of the annual stocktake requirements
  • Manage and create shipments for the final landed costs for the importation of materials
  • Liaise with the company secretary to prepare resolutions and the CTC of required documentation
  • Manage the annual audit and liaise with the external auditors as required during the audit period
  • Support and manage the overall accounting functions to ensure compliance with accounting and industry standards
  • Other duties as assigned by management from time to time where necessary.

Profile

  • bachelor's degree in accountancy / ACCA or any equivalent accounting professional qualification
  • Minimum of 5 years of related working experience in a manufacturing environment would be advantageous
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, numeracy, and a good sound financial understanding
  • Knowledge of transfer pricing documentation and requirements of related party transactions
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications along with exposure to ERP systems is desirable, experience using Pronto accounting software and the Infotech payroll software would also be advantageous
  • Possess a strong sense of responsibility, urgency, and commitment to efficiently meeting deadlines
  • Be familiar with the ISO:9001 2015 Quality Management Standards
  • Proficient in written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia
  • Confident, self-motivated with initiative, positive working attitude, able to work independently
  • Good communication skills, be well organised, reliable, punctual with a good attendance attitude
  • A team player, fast learner with a willingness to learn and meet tight deadlines with minimum supervision
