My client is a Brighton based public sector organisation who is looking for a Finance Business Partner to join their team on a permanent basis. The key duties of this Finance Business Partner role are as follows:
  • Influence senior members of the organisation to ensure alignment with organisational strategy, providing financial analysis to aid decision making as required.
  • Oversee the forecasting and budgeting processes for your own area of responsibility, challenging assumptions where necessary.
  • Take the lead on the monthly reporting cycle for your remit, including the preparation of the monthly management accounts with supporting variance analysis and commentaries.
  • Regularly liaise with budget holders to ensure they are on track with spending.
  • Provide in valuable support to a number of critical projects across the organisation, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the finances in new business cases.

This opportunity is perfect for someone with a "can do" attitude and a background in management accounts who is looking to further their skills under the supportive leadership of an experienced Finance Manager. Although home-based initially, applicants must live within a commutable distance from the offices in Brighton.

The successful candidate will have:
  • At least part-qualified as an accountant.
  • Ideally, a background working in a management accounts focused role.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the confidence communicating with stakeholders across all levels.
