A role has arisen within a global media organisation for a newly qualified Management Accountant to join one of their divisions. Reporting into the Finance Director this role will have full ownership of the monthly P&L and balance sheet reporting alongside involvement with the budgeting and forecasting process.

Sat within a division that is responsible for Entertainment & Events you will have lots of interaction with the business to ensure timely and accurate information is provided for you to complete your tasks.

The role:

* Prepare weekly cashflow forecasts and reports on actual revenues
* Full preparation and reconciliation of the monthly management accounts
* Own, develop and consolidate the month end process
* Support the budgeting and forecasting process
* Manage the quarter end reconciliation and new downs processes
* Reconcile and review balance sheet entries for multiple entities
* Work with various Event Accountants to ensure accurate reporting for individual events
* Analyse and communicate drivers impacting revenues on specific events/projects
* Ownership of the overheads for the division including actuals against forecast
* Maintain the group risks and opportunities schedule

The person:

* Ideally newly qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) or QBE with extensive Management Accounting experience in Media or Events
* Advanced Excel skills
* Experienced in preparing a full set of Management Accounts
* Strong exposure to implementing controls and processes
* Experience gained within a Media or Events environment preferable
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Attention to detail, able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
* Adaptable, commercially minded, logical and a natural problem solver
* Highly motivated, proactive, positive 'can-do' attitude and thrives in a busy and dynamic environment
