Institutional Banking and Markets (IB&M) is responsible for managing the Group’s relationships with major corporate and government clients and institutional investors. IB&M provides a full range of capital raising, transactional and risk management products and services. The division also performs an important internal role for the Group by providing markets, lending and transaction banking execution capabilities to other CBA business units that allows them to capture opportunities with business customers. We are looking for a Regulatory Reporting Manager to join our London Finance team; this role will only be suitable for a qualified accountant with up to three year post qualification financial experience.

Do work that matters:

From a team perspective, this role will have a direct impact on maintaining the integrity of the Branch’s Regulatory Reporting Function, together with active participation in improving the efficiency of the Finance reporting processes.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Accurate and Timely delivery of all the Branch’s Regulatory Reporting;
  • Compliance with external regulatory and control frameworks. Escalation of non-compliance in a timely manner;
  • Monitoring of pending regulatory reporting changes and ensuring timely revision to reporting processes;
  • Enhancements to increase efficiency and improve controls;
  • Performing deep-dives regarding specific return items to identify efficiencies in process;
  • Maintenance of internal Regulatory Governance Reporting;
  • Ongoing review and enhancement of all regulatory processes and static data documentation;
  • Positive contribution to and collaboration with the wider Finance team;
  • Positive contribution to a performance culture.

We are interested in hearing from you if you have:

  • Degree qualified;
  • Qualified accountant with up to three year post qualification financial experience maximum;
  • Strong accounting skills;
  • Knowledge of Regulatory Reporting standards and experience preferred but not essential;
  • Strong numeracy, PC and GL systems and reporting package skills;
  • High attention to details and coordination skills;
  • Demonstrated experience in successful process improvement;
  • Management accounting experience;
  • A strong background in financial control coupled with a knowledge of Investment Banking products;
  • Excellent Communication skills leading to openness, honesty & transparency at all times;
  • Awareness of industry changes and research literature and ability and willingness to educate others and propose adoption in the context of the CBA model;
  • Strong desktop and analytical skills.
