Institutional Banking and Markets (IB&M) is responsible for managing the Group’s relationships with major corporate and government clients and institutional investors. We are looking for a Regulatory Reporting Manager to join our London Finance team; this role will only be suitable for a qualified accountant with up to three year post qualification financial experience.
Do work that matters:
From a team perspective, this role will have a direct impact on maintaining the integrity of the Branch’s Regulatory Reporting Function, together with active participation in improving the efficiency of the Finance reporting processes.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Accurate and Timely delivery of all the Branch’s Regulatory Reporting;
- Compliance with external regulatory and control frameworks. Escalation of non-compliance in a timely manner;
- Monitoring of pending regulatory reporting changes and ensuring timely revision to reporting processes;
- Enhancements to increase efficiency and improve controls;
- Performing deep-dives regarding specific return items to identify efficiencies in process;
- Maintenance of internal Regulatory Governance Reporting;
- Ongoing review and enhancement of all regulatory processes and static data documentation;
- Positive contribution to and collaboration with the wider Finance team;
- Positive contribution to a performance culture.
We are interested in hearing from you if you have:
- Degree qualified;
- Qualified accountant with up to three year post qualification financial experience maximum;
- Strong accounting skills;
- Knowledge of Regulatory Reporting standards and experience preferred but not essential;
- Strong numeracy, PC and GL systems and reporting package skills;
- High attention to details and coordination skills;
- Demonstrated experience in successful process improvement;
- Management accounting experience;
- A strong background in financial control coupled with a knowledge of Investment Banking products;
- Excellent Communication skills leading to openness, honesty & transparency at all times;
- Awareness of industry changes and research literature and ability and willingness to educate others and propose adoption in the context of the CBA model;
- Strong desktop and analytical skills.
