Senior Payroll Manager! Excellent salary, outstanding employer, raft of benefits & great office environment. Payroll Manager Permanent & Full Time Swansea 30-40,000 per annum Just in; a superb Senior Payroll Manager position! An excellent salary for the area, outstanding employer with a raft of benefits and a great office environment & culture. I'm ideally looking for someone with CIPP training; although QBE's will be considered, some formal training on payroll and legislation is the expected mark for this role. You will need to be an authority on Payroll policy and systems; managing 2 direct reports and providing a service to almost 700 employees! 2021 sees the business bringing in a new system and although you are unlikely to have direct experience of that software, you will be expected to have been on board for a systems integration in the past. You will need to be a master of MS Excel to optimise reporting methods. The key thing here is innovation...... I am looking for someone with a wealth of experience possibly from a number of industries, with the drive to streamline and improve processes. Your day to day will include the following; * Implementing, maintaining and operating payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, bonuses, benefits, attachments of earnings, taxes, and other deductions. * Ensure accurate and timely processing of new employees, leavers and changes in pay rates. * Ensure payroll operations are fully compliant with UK law and all HMRC returns and payments are accurate and on time. * Identify and proactively recommend updates to payroll processing software, systems and procedures. * Lead projects to implement agreed changes. * Be the groups authority on payroll related matters including (but not limited to) changes in law, tax and best practice. * Providing timely and accurate payroll related management information. * Managing fleet / fuel cards, including HMRC returns as necessary. Realistically you will need three to five years of relevant experience in a supervisory or management role. You will have experience of change management &/or process improvement within payroll.
