The Financial Systems Accountant leads the Development Team and works with stakeholders across the Group, including close collaboration with IT Services and with other teams.

My client is a well established Group in Oxfordshire.

Description

  • Manage and provide quality assurance of the change process.
  • Delivery of high quality and user-focused system and reporting changes.
  • Providing support to projects as required, including providing input to business cases as a technical expert, supporting delivery, and ensuring that appropriate quality thresholds are met and implications properly investigated, documented and communicated.
  • Coordination and delivery of system and user acceptance testing.
  • Work effectively with stakeholders and managed service providers, acting as an expert on financial systems:
  • Direction and management of the Development Team (five)
  • Manage the Development team budget, including any "call-off" development contracts.
  • Provide cover for the Operations Manager in their absence, in particular acting as an escalation point for support users, attending Major Incident meetings as Finance Liaison and ITIL Problem Management meetings.
  • Other comparable responsibilities as the Head of Financial Processes, Systems and Assurance may require.

Profile

  • Experience with configuration and technical architecture of core Oracle R12 Financials, including how finance processes map to the functionality, and experience in the management of test and development environments.
  • Familiarity with finance functions and basic accounting concepts, especially management of budgets, financial or other resource.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate in a complex and multi-product environment where there is a wide range of parallel and mutually dependent activities, simultaneously managing issues at different priority levels.
  • Ability to work effectively with stakeholders, understanding customer needs and motivated to drive for improvement.
  • Ability to work effectively with suppliers, driving excellence in delivery.
  • Proven teamwork and leadership skills, especially across a wide range of skill levels both internally and externally, and proven ability to build excellent working relationships and work effectively as part of a wider team.
  • An effective and confident communicator, both verbal and written, with excellent networking skills and experience of relating, liaising and dealing with internal customers of all technical skill levels.
  • Proven experience in team management and motivation, including development of staff within the team.
  • Experience with the technical aspects of system and change management including (e.g.) PL/SQL development, testing and service transition.

Job Offer

My client is offering a salary range of £45,000 - £55,000 dependent on experience
