Group Financial Controller

My client is a multi-entity SME based in South West London (Surrey) with a complex structure and busy accounts department. They are looking to recruit a Group Financial Controller into this senior-level role.

Reporting to the CFO, the Group Financial Controller will manage and develop the finance function, ensuring the implementation and maintenance of effective financial controls and reports. The post holder will be responsible for managing and developing all finance processes, identifying and facilitating improvements to the financial and business processes, and managing a team.

Duties include:
Financial reporting and preparing year-end accounts. Maintaining relationships with external agencies including audit firmManaging the team and leading end-to-end finance operationProduction of accurate and meaningful management reportsBusiness planning, budgets and forecasts
The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with extensive exposure to complex processes and busy, SME environments. Ideally they would have also worked in a larger entity and have the ability to improve systems and accounting procedures. This role is ideal for a candidate who enjoys getting involved in the hands-on aspects, but also has the technical knowledge and Group-level exposure.
