You will join our Finance team, taking responsibility for ensuring that Accounts Payable routines are carried out in an accurate & timely manner.

4 x GCSEs, grade 4/C or above, including English and maths
Future prospects
We aim to offer a permanent role within our finance team with opportunities to progress to higher level accounting qualifications.
Key responsibilities:
- Setting up and validating suppliers
- Processsing of payable transactions - Invoices and credit notes
- Dealing with supplier invoice queries & reconciling Supplier Statements
- Maintaining generic Accounts Payable mailbox
- Ensuring invoices are approved by budget holders prior to processing
- Liaising with key suppliers and landlords to ensure payment terms are met
- Raising payment runs for approval using online banking
- Strictly following the payment approval process
- Setting up Fixed asset records and associated depreciation method/period
- Assist with processing of stock related invoices and associated freight charges
- Support with the processing of personal expense claims (& credit cards)
- Administrative duties including filing

- Competent in using IT software (competent Excel user, ideally Microsoft Dynamics Navision experience) and other IT systems
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Diligent and reliable with a strong attention to detail
- Able to work on own initiative and make intelligent, reasoned decisions under pressure
- A self-starter, able to prioritise with a flexible approach in order to support the business at busy times and ensure all critical dates are met

- Committed to gaining a formal Accounting qualification
