The Financial Accounting, Infrastructure & Reporting (FAIR) organization is responsible for the accuracy, integrity and timeliness of the Firm’s books and records, while providing reporting to both internal and external clients.

The organization closely examines the general ledger, operating systems and infrastructure controls across the entire lifecycle of the business to ensure the firm’s financial information is accurately depicted for reporting and regulation purposes. This financial information is used by analysts to assess the firm’s financial position; by management to make sound financial decisions; by investors to make informed decisions; and by regulators to supervise and examine the firm appropriately.

The most common functions and activities owned by Financial Accounting, Infrastructure & Reporting (FAIR) include but are not limited to the following: financial analysis, consolidation, reporting, balance sheet reconciliation/certification/substantiation, general ledger reconciliation reporting & governance, inter-entity control and governance, manual accounting/bookings to the general ledger and operating systems, and executing the month end close process.

The Firmwide Finance Business Architecture (FFBA) team is responsible for the Global Finance organization Data Acquisition & Consumption (including Credit Risk & Treasury), Financial & Management Reporting, and General Ledger (GL) Target Platform Strategies. The team has established a consolidated framework that creates opportunities for broad-scale communication, streamlined governance, and increased oversight.

A key objective of the Business Architect Team is to manage the delivery of large scale infrastructure programs and business process change management events to ensure accurate, complete and consistent data is readily available for both internal financial reporting and external regulatory reporting purposes, consumed by both LOB stakeholders and corporate groups.

One of the top priorities across Global Finance, Credit Risk and Liquidity is to evolve the organization to a more integrated data and reporting strategy – one that is globally consistent and usable for business, finance, risk and regulatory requirements.

As a member of the Business Architecture Product team, you will work closely with Line of Business stakeholders, data Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Consumers and technology teams across Finance, Credit Risk & Treasury and the various Program Management teams.

Primary responsibilities is to prioritize all the traditional credit product book of work, develop roadmap and deliver on multiple projects /programs on all monthly Releases.

As member of the team you will have a variety of responsibilities, including but not limited to:

  • JIRA grooming and test execution
  • Issues resolution an escalation of critical risks.
  • Influence and communicate with senior stakeholder (business, operations, technology) relationships.
  • Drive compliance of product and Release Management standards and operating model.
  • Drive end-to-end project strategy discussions and develop and deliver plans for successful project delivery of firmwide and LOB change events impacting Finance, Credit and Treasury reporting
  • Identify and drive solutions for business process re-engineering activities, along with creating supporting documentation and end user operational experience and usage of Finance and Risk platforms.
  • Provide oversight of the release plan inclusive of project or release scope, critical milestones, sourcing requirements, test strategy and execution and implementation checklists and stakeholder / technology activities

Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 1+ years of project management and business analysis experience and process re-engineering.
  • Proven experience in delivering large complex programs and managing senior stakeholder relationships
  • Solid understanding of Financial and/or Regulatory reporting processes; understanding of Liquidity, Credit Reporting related data is a plus
  • Previous experience in Financial Services a plus
  • Knowledge and experience of traditional credit (Loans, Deposits, Cash) and trading products (Derivatives and Securities)
  • Previous experience in Finance, Risk or Operations functions a plus
  • Experience with Agile delivery and the JIRA tool plus

Skills:

  • Ability to quickly learn and assimilate business and technical knowledge
  • Written and verbal communication skills, with ability to tailor messaging to various audiences
  • Ability to lead and influence and build strong relationships with partner teams
  • Organizational skills and ability to manage multiple streams of work concurrently

  • SQL knowledge
