Citibank Europe PLC (“CEP”) is a diversified global financial services group, headquartered in Ireland and 22 branches across Europe. The Ireland Controllers Team is part of the Ireland Finance Function in Dublin. The primary responsibility of the team is statistical reporting, monitoring of legal entity financials, legal entity management, booking model and Finance governance as well as ensuring effectiveness of controls over financial reporting and compliance with regulations (local law and Citi policies).
The Ireland Controllers Team are an active and energetic unit with a lot of focus on innovation and with great possibilities to work across different countries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversight and governance over CEP Booking Model process.
- Ensuring consistency of CEP Booking Model with regulator’s expectations and Citi best practices.
- Assessing booking model risk for new products.
- Close collaboration with Business Heads and Regional/Global Booking Model Management Team on booking practices for the legal entity.
- Ensuring effective controls over CEP Booking Model and on-time remediation and escalation of issues.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience in booking model and financial controls.
- Extensive experience in finance and financial reporting.
- University/College degree, specialized in Accounting/ Finance/ Economics, Professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent – beneficial.
- Strong communication skills and being fluent in English.
- Attention to details, very good analytical and organizational skills, ability to learn new systems and analytics software.
