Description

Preparation of Monthly Accounts in Group Format ensuring reports are correctly completed and adhere to Group procedures and directives, including: reconciliation of balance sheet at month end and sign off of individual reports as final Trial Balance; preparing schedules of accruals and prepayments after evaluation; ensuring Profit and Loss Account is meaningful and correctly maintained; analysis of variances and investigations as appropriate

Completing Valuation of Cost of Sales: producing monthly summary by Products; determining any Sales/Cost provisions; reviewing costs are all accounted for between Management Standard costs and purchases

Completing Stock Valuation: monthly valuation of closing stocks after agreeing any adjustments and/or provisions; overseeing Quarterly Stock check organisation; ensuring proper procedures are in place and adhered to

Preparation of Month End Management Operation Report, Line of Business and Overhead Reports; providing Cost of Sales, Accrued value of Commission, Stock valuations, for month end accounting; agree reconciliation of Management and Financial COS; assisting Finance Director in analysis of month end figures and management reporting; preparing Overhead Reports for Departments and liaising and advising Directors and Managers to ensure Budgets are maintained

Profile

* Previous experience at Management Accountant/ Financial Accountant level essential, ideally needs experience in a similar sized manufacturing organisation.

* Previous supervisory experience preferred

* Previous experience of Microsoft GP and Sage an advantage. Excel proficiency essential.
