Description

As Financial Accountant, your role will be to control the general ledger taking a risk and control based approach where you will look to add value to existing processes and act as a key business partner to all areas across the business. Key aspects include:

• Complete a full range of accounting processes including intercompany accounting, treasury accounting, accruals processing and consolidation
• Responsible for ensuring the team achieves its objectives each month through accurate and timely postings, reconciliation and analytical review of GL entries
• Month end accruals, treasury and fixed assets
• Reviewing processes of GL
• Involvement in key projects
• Business partnering in respect of new or updated GL processes, identifying and implementing changes as required
• Deal with internal audit and external audit team where required
• Working closely with the statutory and technical accounting teams in supporting the preparation of statutory accounts

Profile

We are looking for the following experience and technical abilities for this Financial Accountant vacancy:

• CIMA / ACCA / ACA part qualified or finalist
• Strong technical accountancy knowledge
• Good analytical skills and attention to detail
• Advanced Excel
• Evidence of achieving tight deadlines and the ability to work on own initiative
• Knowledge of large ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle
