Our client is a multinational organisation that started as a small UK business now offers the best distribution network to its licensors and the best quality images to its customers.
An exciting job opportunity to join a small established finance team. Working closely with the Management Accountant and FD to assist with month end amongst other tasks.

This is an exciting opportunity for the right person who wants to move into industry and grow or can easily accommodate somebody who is looking for a long tenure, happy at the level they are at.

What duties are involved?

Assist with monthly management accounts preparation this will include aspects of accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations.
Assist in maintaining nominal analysis.
Assist with compiling credit card receipts and expenses for the business
Provide cover and assistance to Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes
Check and help prepare product costings.
To help collate and produce budget information and assisting with variances.
Be able to answer the main accounts telephone to either direct or take payments from customers. This is a shared responsibility throughout the department.
Any other ad-hoc finance duties.

What skills, experience & attributes are we looking for?
Ideally, the candidate will have developed a strong technical understanding through training in Public Practice, however similar development within Industry will be strongly considered. Whether a budding career accountant with aspirations to develop your knowledge or a person already established, experienced and not looking to grow further will be well suited here. Some of the key requirements are as follows:

Experience to Nominal Ledger level
Exposure to Balance Sheet work / financial accounting ideal
Exposure to assisting with Management Accounts also ideal but not essential
Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
Positive "can do" attitude
Good level of communication and comfortable speaking internally to other departments
Previous experience of Sage products preferable but not essential.
Good standard of Excel knowledge is required (pivot tables and VLOOKUP preferable)
