Financial Accountant

• Assist with the creation of Platform management accounts and commentary for the APAC region (non-project related businesses);
• Comply of all comprehensive work for the external audit in Vietnam, Singapore, Australia, and Indonesia, as well as the preparation of auditable statutory accounts;
• Assist in the drafting of the corporate budget for these regions, as well as leading talks with workers and partners about budget spending and contesting it as needed.
• Prepare all external reports to key stakeholders in these territories, such as senior debt trustees, letter of credit funding providers, and joint venture partners
• Collaborate with the Group Finance team to input data into the CFO's weekly cash projection template and cash summary report;
• Manage and report on the foreign exchange exposure resulting from these countries' developments;
• Participate actively in the examination and improvement of these countries' controls;
• As the business grows, take an active role in the development of the financial department as a whole;
• Prepare papers to document accounting for technical concerns in order to assure compliance with accounting rules.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• A newly minted Chartered Accountant with Big 4 experience.
• Auditing financial statements as well as related industry experience is required.
• It is desired, but not required, that you have prior energy industry experience.
• Excellent understanding of the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) is required.
• Detailed knowledge of the tax legislation in the area.
• Self-assured self-starter with the ability to work alone, multitask, and achieve tight deadlines.
• The candidate must be strong commercially as well as having the necessary financial accounting training and experience.
• High levels of enthusiasm and motivation, as well as a proven track record of accomplishment.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication abilities are necessary.
• Excel skills are exceptional.
