The Compliance Officer will be responsible for implementing and monitoring the Compliance Management System based on standards applicable for this leading International Automotive business. The Compliance Officer is providing independent Compliance advice to his/her accountable regions and business units in particular in the areas of anti-corruption, antitrust and anti-money laundering. One of his/her key activities is the promotion of a positive Compliance, Integrity, Risk and speak up culture through various Compliance measures within the business, based on internal and external regulations.

Key responsibilities include:

• Establishing, maintaining and further developing the Compliance System within the area of responsibility including ongoing monitoring, assessment and continuous improvement

• Promoting and fostering a culture of Integrity

• Providing independent Compliance advice to management and employees in the area of responsibility, in particular in the areas of anti-corruption, antitrust and anti-money laundering

• Advising and supporting the Compliance Champions/Coordinators in his/her area of responsibility

• Promoting a Compliance, Integrity, Risk and speak up culture inter alia through trainings and

communication campaigns

• Reporting (regular and ad-hoc) accurately and comprehensively relevant Compliance issues to the relevant boards in the area of responsibility and Europe

• Monitoring of and adhering to relevant international and local Compliance standards

• Ensuring Compliance processes are performed in quality, time and budget in the area of responsibility

The Person

• At least 5 years working experience within an international company, international law firm or other comparable organisation

• Ability to understand the business, its strategies, people and organisational structure

• Strong analytical skills regarding Compliance, business issues and risks

• Strong communication skills to convince people and gain trust and confidence

• Ability to take and defend decisions towards senior management and in complex and sensitive situations

• Integrity

• Strong project development and management skills

• Experience in working in internationals teams and with cross-border communication

• Highly motivated, quick learner who can interpret and successfully implement regulatory requirements in an operationally effective manner

• Able to explain complex regulatory/risk issues in a simple manner, to a wide group of stakeholders, including senior management and external business partners

• Experience of designing and implementing a risk management framework and register would be preferable.

• Ability to demonstrate pragmatic thinking and solution oriented approach
