We offer an outstanding opportunity to work with the Enterprise and Strategy Risk team within Internal Audit (IA), to apply your analytical and audit skills against a wide range of problem statements that are critical to the success of the bank.

In this role, you will be part of a team that risk assesses and audits integral and bank wide frameworks and strategic initiatives to provide coordination and value-added insight across risks and businesses:

  • Perform deep dives of Divisional performance and risk metrics to provide transparency on material risks and associated rewards.
  • Execute audit reviews of bank wide control frameworks (e.g., strategy, new business, M&A) control frameworks demonstrating an ability to effectively prioritize competing commitments to deliver against agreed timeframes.
  • Support regular Audit and Risk Committee reporting related to strategic risks.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders across Internal Audit and the Bank.

Your skills and experience

You are someone who thinks as much about the challenge at hand as the creative solution to it, and while you have a drive towards results and completion. Ideally, you are passionate about understanding what drives businesses, their performance and risks, and enjoy collaborating with other teams to achieve results.

  • A university degree or an equivalent educational background, preferably with a major in economics, accounting, finance or business management.
  • Proven work experience in the financial industry.
  • Prior internal audit experience is preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills and keen to collaborate with data specialists to acquire insights from data.
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills. Ability to manage work independently and within a team environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to deliver difficult messages and present information in a succinct and concise way.
  • Strong interpersonal and people skills, be self-driven.
  • Be able to manage work effectively and deliver on time under pressure with a high level of integrity and flexibility, attention to detail and quality standards.
  • Pro-active, hardworking and results oriented professional who is highly inquisitive, with the ability to learn, be able to separate fact from assertion, and the confidence to challenge.
