Management Accountant

To provide and communicate relevant and timely management information in order to facilitate improved performance and effective control and appropriate financial decisions. The European management accountant provides support to all financial aspects of the Europe business.

Client Details

I am assisting a pharmaceutical company within the Warrington area recruit for a permanent MA to join their expanding Fiance team on a permanent basis. The company has grown significantly over the past 2 years through the pandemic, taking on more employees within their Finance department as they acquire a new business within Europe.

Description

• To lead the timely production of financial results by ensuring timely and accurate entry of financial information into SAP to assist the management team with the decision-making process.
• To manage own time to meet the priorities for the month which will be aligned to the achievement of business goals and objectives.
• To provide and suggest areas of process improvement to increase efficiency and reduce operational cost.
• Support month end close for the UK sites and Belgium
• Deputise for Site Accountants during holidays.
• Cost variance analysis.
• Misc GL postings.
• Accruals/Prepayments.
• Bank Reconcilliations, revaluations
• Supporting the annual audit
• Supporting the annual operating plan (AOP) for all European sites.

Profile

• Excellent verbal and written communications skills in order to liaise with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to manage transition and change
• Ability to work to tight deadlines and monthly closures.
• Ability to organise work effectively and efficiently.
• Preferable part-qualified accountant CIMA (or other CCAB qualification), or qualified by experience.
• Ideally will possess a minimum of 2 years' accounting experience preferably gained within industry/manufacturing environment.
• 5 GCSEs Grade A - C including Math's and English.
• Ability to organise and prioritise multiple tasks.
• Ability to focus on clear goals and deliverables - and ensuring deliverables are met
