Who we are: The Procurement team in the Global Engineering Services (GES) organization is dedicated to answering the questions above, which drive the Amazon flywheel. This team validates procurement methodologies, supports vendor negotiations and strategy, and delivers analysis to identify controls and risks opportunities and benefits impacting category management and procurement operations. Team Exposure: This role collaborates closely with a broad range of global finance and business leaders in Procurement, Engineering, Construction, and Operations teams. The role also partners with stakeholders across technical projects & software development teams, capital planning, compliance, risks and controls. This role involves collecting, analyzing and managing quantitative data and creating meaningful reports to lead business improvement and driving controls and policy compliance across the global procurement organization. This role also maintains project oversee and driving initiatives and policy reviews, and partners with category management on strategic input drivers to continuously improve the scalability and efficiency of the procurement organization.

About the role:
Amazon is seeking a Senior Finance Analyst within Operations Finance to define, create, analyze and influence WW Operations in support of procurement decisions. This role will have heavy impact and high visibility to essential, business-critical processes, and will require interactions with Directors and VP's within Operations and Finance. The position will partner with stakeholders such as the Operations business team, engineering services, and Finance teams across WW Operations. You will leverage your educational and applied work experience to lead initiatives to streamline planning/reporting, as well as identify investment and cost savings opportunities within the Fulfillment Center network.

Responsibilities include:
• Identifying opportunities and driving end to end process controls and streamlining through Procurement objectives and global initiatives.
• Creates effective business partnerships, manages competing priorities, and provides guidance based on data analysis during unexpected events.
• Lead procurement controls and risks activities across Procurement environment and oversee all program and project leading to procurement defects reductions
• Oversee projects, drive initiatives across global teams and productivity initiatives across the Customer Fulfillment Network
• Thinks Big, recommend, develop, and implement policies and programs that guide the organization in maintaining and improving its competitive position and profitability related to Procurement Controls and Policy standardization.

Basic Qualifications:
• BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, and Computer Science) or equivalent.
• Minimum 7+ years of finance experience, or master's degree and 5 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3+ years of direct management in projects or programs experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Knowledge of Manufacturing/Distribution/Fulfillment Center processes and systems a plus
• Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (i.e. SQL, Tableau, Essbase and/or Cognos) and other financial systems (i.e. Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
• MBA and/or Professional certification (CPA/CMA/Qualified Accounting certificate)
• Experience in managing projects or programs
