We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Finance Manager to join the Lendlease Communities National Finance team on a permanent basis to lead financial control, reporting and portfolio analysis. The position reports directly to the GMF of Communities and is a key leadership role supporting the strategic, financial and operational effectiveness of the business.

The position is a people manager role initially leading two Senior Finance Analysts. In addition to direct reports, the role is responsible for the output of accurate and timely financial information from Finance Services support teams.

Specific roles and responsibilities will include:
  • Management of the Lendlease Communities Consolidated P&L, Balance Sheet and Cashflow, Commercial Assessment portfolio and provision of insights to support informed decision making.
  • Responsibility of Management and Statutory reporting requirements for the Business, ensuring compliance with Group and Regional timetables and processes and integration with operations.
  • Partnering Regions as the custodian of robust financial control and commercially insightful reporting, ensuring effective financial risk management, technical accounting and the smooth coordination of finance activities across finance teams
  • Preparing and reviewing Investment Committee and Board papers to ensure key messages are clearly and succinctly delivered, consistency and timeliness of reporting.
  • Working collaboratively with various stakeholders at all levels in the organisation; in finance, operations and other support functions
  • Building, maintaining and owning relationships with Group Finance and External Auditors to optimise performance
  • Contributing to the successful execution of finance improvement initiatives across the Business including providing relevant subject matter expertise

  • Proven background in financial control and producing forward-thinking commercial insights within external accounting legislative requirements
  • Ability to engage and drive strong working relationships with senior business stakeholders
  • Agile in problem solving and have well developed influencing skills to drive outcomes
  • Strong written and oral presentation skills
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and technical post tertiary qualifications which include CA or CPA qualifications
  • At least 10 years' experience in financial reporting, financial planning & analytics, or Project accounting experience
  • Experience within the property industry will be highly regarded.
