About the Opportunity

As the Company Accountant, you will take on a hybrid position of financial and management accounting. You will report to the Finance Manager and will be required to communicate the financial position to the management team.

The position is primarily responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the balance sheet and P&L statement. This encompasses all Balance Sheet reconciliations, monthly management accounts, tax returns and statutory reporting.

Your key responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
  • Month End Process
  • Prepare and process journals including both actuals and accruals to ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Ensuring all the sub-ledger balances are tying up with the General ledger
  • Closing and opening of General Ledger
  • Month End process, Monthly Reporting Requirements, Balance Sheet Accounts Reconciliations, Annual Tax schedules, Annual FBT returns and Audits
  • Daily, monthly sales and financial reporting
  • FBT Returns Reporting
  • Quarterly and Annual Reporting to government agencies (ABS)
  • GST Reporting
  • Reconciliation


Ideal Profile
  • You will be CA/CPA qualified, with a Degree in Accounting or equivalent
  • Previous accounting experience in a similar accounting role
  • Knowledge & understanding of tax effective accounting, statutory accounts & tax returns
  • Clear understanding of AP, AR & Payroll controls
  • General ledger knowledge
  • Microsoft Excel / Microsoft Word
  • Strong communicator / articulate
  • Ability to manage ambiguity of an agile and constantly changing environment
