Here is an opportunity to work within an expert departmental governance team to support a high-level Board and the important assurance function in a varied and dynamic department.

The Risk and Audit Committee Secretariat and Assurance Officer provides secretariat services to the department's Risk and Audit Committee and undertakes assurance management activities. This role will suit someone with experience in public service governance or who has previously worked in audit or assurance management.

Ideally, the successful candidate will have strong organisational and communication skills, strive for service excellence, and have relevant governance or assurance management experience. The position will be an active member of the Governance Branch, contributing to the delivery of group and departmental priorities, and to building an inclusive and high performing workforce that is customer focussed, collaborative, professional and engaged.

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications
  • Secretariat experience and some knowledge of governance and assurance functions will be favourably considered.
