The opportunity

We are looking for a Digital Trust Specialist - AI & RPA (IT Audit / IT Risk / Tech Risk) to join our Oceania Digital Assurance team at the Senior Consultant / Senior Associate level. Our Assurance opportunities are offered on a flexible full-time basis.

You'll be working in our Digital Trust team to enhance our Digital Assurance capabilities and providing meaningful insights to deliver value to our clients. You'll be helping deliver AI and RPA Assurance services to our clients to help them navigate uncertainty and mitigate risk.

Our team is passionate about helping clients, people and society maximise the beneficial application of RPA and AI and you will have a key role in helping EY shape the AI governance landscape with clients in Oceania.

You will also have the opportunity to develop your skills in emerging technology by working with our leading-edge Digital team, supporting projects in emerging technologies from Cyber, Blockchain, IT Risk to Data Analytics. You'll be given all the skills, knowledge, and exciting learning opportunities to build your career, and the chance to make a real impact. This role can be based in Sydney or Melbourne, however other locations will also be considered.

Your key responsibilities
  • As part of the Digital Trust team, manage the day-to day- delivery of high-quality AI and RPA Assurance engagements to clients and promote leading practice governance in emerging technologies
  • Working directly with our audit teams to help mitigate the risk presented by these emerging technologies over the Financial Statement Audit
  • Manage key client relationships and coordinate the activities of staff to meet engagement requirements
  • Maintain knowledge in AI and RPA governance and audit advancements
  • Working with our Digital Assurance Specialists, support the delivery of technology assurance services including cybersecurity assessments and other emerging technologies, such as blockchain and ERP systems


Skills and attributes for success

To qualify for the role you must have:
  • A base knowledge of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
  • Experience in IT risk and controls / tech risk / IT audit / data analytics
  • Experience leading the planning, execution and reporting on engagements
  • Proven track record with developing and maintaining client relationships
  • Excellent communication, project management, and teaming skills


Ideally, you'll also have:
  • A strong academic record, including a degree and progress towards/completion of professional qualifications, such CA or CISA
  • An appreciation of technology risk considerations for emerging technologies such as blockchain, artificial intelligence and robotic process automation

Regarding this role, the minimum salary is $91,000 including 10% superannuation.
