The Group Internal Audit function acts as the 3rd line of defence, providing assurance support across both UK PLC and the Group. With a Bank-wide remit, the team have a deep insight into all activities and access to key partners at all levels within the business.

Purpose Of The Role

Our client are looking for an Audit Manager to join our team with the capability and appetite to develop a career in Internal Audit. This is a wide ranging role where you will enjoy varied and exciting work. The successful candidate will be joining a highly engaged and motivated team who are responsible for working on assurance assignments across in an agile audit delivery environment.

Key Accountabilities
  • Build strong and sustainable relationships across the Group
  • Contribute to the delivery of effective audit opinions with agility and in a changing environment
  • Contribute to the development of the half yearly Control Environment Opinion and assurance plans
  • Contribute in the wider Internal Audit department initiatives
  • Be a role model for "living our values"

Essential Skills And Experience
  • A desire to learn and develop a range of audit, financial and business skills.
  • Critical problem solver looking to develop a high degree of commercial awareness.
  • Excellent client relationship skills and a good communicator with attention to detail.
  • Data intelligence and high analytical skills.
  • Understanding of business drivers and can provide value add insights to management.
  • Knowledge of project management.


Desirable Qualifications, Skills And Experience

Willingness to work towards a suitable industry recognised qualification (ACCA, CRISC, CIA).

A 3rd Level Qualification In One Of The Following
  • Project and/or change management
  • Digital delivery of services
  • Data risk management
  • Banking / financial services
