An Assistant Accountant role to join a global business, based in Liverpool.

Description

This will be a challenging role to gather, validate and report on financial information. You will ensure that reports are accurate and produced in a timely manner, as well as provide a top class level service for stakeholders in the business. Responsibilities include:

• Assisting in the production of financial statements and related systems to meet internal and external reporting requirements
• Preparing for P&L and balance sheet reconciliations
• Working with analysts to help prepare reports
• Managing internal and external stakeholders to ascertain and meet requirements
• Preparing statutory accounts
• Working on critical projects to help drive business performance
• Participating in initiatives to raise standards and improve processes
• Managing the fixed asset and WIP

Profile

For the Assistant Accountant role, we are looking for someone who is:

• Part qualified/finalist level accountant
• Proven ability to manage complex financial reporting
• Understanding of financial controls
• Understanding of IFRS
• Results driven and desire to improve standard
• Good leadership skills and ability to use own initiative
• Build effective relationships with stakeholders
