As a Private Client Tax Manager, you will be expected to provide a range of tax services, focusing on a private client advisory work for individuals and trustees. More specifically, this would include identification of tax planning opportunities for clients, both existing and prospective, assisting them with implementing suitable strategies.
You should be confident in working with entrepreneurial and ‘High Net Worth’ clients regarding their wealth planning needs and be able to advise around the interaction of taxes for their families and structures, such as trusts and private companies. Strong technical tax and communication skills, in addition to significant experience in capital gains tax, inheritance tax, income tax and other related taxes is also required.
In terms of qualifications, we want to ensure we are offering the best service to our customers. A relevant professional qualification such as ATT, CTA, ACA or ACCA is essential for this role. The successful appointment will have a collaborative outlook with a process mindset and be adept at dealing with clients around complex tax matters. As this is a senior position within the team, you will also gain the opportunity to nurture and mentor more junior staff via involvement in advisory projects and reviewing compliance work alike.A note from the Hiring Manager
