The opportunity
We currently have an opportunity for a Senior Associate/Manager with a Data Analytics and Valuations focus to join our VME team within Financial Services SaT. The ideal candidate will have the ability to manage Data Analytics engagements, and possess the knowledge/experience necessary to support business Valuation engagements.
Your key responsibilities
- Have a primary focus in Data Analytics, with the ability to support Valuation and Financial Modelling services for Financial Services (FSO) clients
- Deliver on engagements for clients throughout Asia
- Build strong working relationships with senior clients, including influence, advice and support to key decision maker
- As part of your career development, you will participate in / lead sales opportunities with senior team members and clients; assist in / lead preparing proposal documents; be supported in building client relationships at all levels.
Skills and attributes for success
- Highly proficient Data Analytics skills with the ability to manage Data Analytics engagements
- Valuation and Financial Modelling skills with a proven ability to create robust and flexible financial and valuations models based on the client’s financial and operational information
- Strong numerical and analytical skills, with a demonstrated aptitude in quantitative and qualitative analysis
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills, with a focus on building internal and external networks
To qualify for the role you must have
- A Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Economics, Data Science, Engineering, or Mathematics
- At least 4-6 years of relevant work experience in the fields of: Data Analytics, Valuation, and Financial Modelling
- Good understanding of financial services sector: Banking, Insurance, Payments, WAM, Fintech
- Demonstrated strong knowledge of visualization techniques/tools (e.g. Power BI, Spotfire), data modelling, and data transformation techniques
- Knowledge of analytical techniques and tools for predictive and descriptive analytics (e.g. R, Python, VBA, SQL). Python preferred
- Highly effective written and verbal communication skills
- A strong work ethic and the ability to adapt to new challenges in a collaborative team environment
Ideally, you also have (or are pursuing)
- CA/CPA or CFA
- Experience in mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, carve outs
- Experience gained within another large professional services organization
- Established networking skills in a relevant industry
