I am currently recruiting a new Finance Assistant for a luxury hotel brand. This will be a permanent role based in their head office near Green Park tube station. My client operates some of the top luxury hotels in the world, and operate in many different countries.
This role will be based in the office with opportunity to work from home.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is studying either the ACCA/CIMA who is looking to progress their career. My client is also happy to consider AAT studiers.

Description
The Central Finance team is led by the Group Finance Director, the team is responsible for the Group's financial forecasting, planning and analysis, taxation, cash flow and treasury management, group reporting and technical accounting, audit, operational and commercial finance, and corporate accounting for the head office function.
This position will report to the Group Financial Reporting Manager and will be a member of the Financial Reporting & Tax Team. The role will be based at the Group's head office in London, 'the Centre'.
Key responsibilities
The primary purpose of the role is to assist with the management and reporting of the Group's head office companies. The role will include recording financial transactions, maintenance of financial records and processing payments. A key part of this role will be ensuring day-to-day tasks are performed efficiently and effectively for the head office companies. In addition to the above, the role will also include:
- Responsibility for processing purchase invoices and maintaining accounts payable ledgers.
- Processing sales invoices for recharges to Group companies.
- Following up on outstanding invoices awaiting approval.
- Performing supplier statement reconciliations and resolving queries.
- Preparing weekly BACs and international payment runs.
- Bank reconciliations for bank accounts.
- Processing and accounting for staff expenses.
- Reconciliation of Corporate intercompany loans and trading balances.
- Maintaining the fixed assets register.
- Assisting in the preparation of balance sheet reconciliations.
- Inputting accounting data into the accounting system with speed and accuracy.
- Analysis of information, preparation of spreadsheets, reports and correspondence on request.
- Planning, organising, and managing your own workload to ensure your contribution to the company's monthly financial reporting process is achieved in a timely and accurate manner.
- Assist with end of year preparation and procedures.
- Provide financial support to team members; and
- Ad hoc projects typical for this type of role.
The above tasks will often need to be performed in collaboration with other members of the central and hotel finance teams.
The ideal candidate requirements:
- Strong and relevant experience of working within a finance team
- A recognised finance qualification is desirable but not critical
- Organised and reliable with a good understanding of accounting processes and procedures
- Must be proactive and professional
- Must have strong attention to detail and be able to deal with ad hoc requests whilst maintaining focus on their larger tasks
- Strong presentation and communication skills
- A high degree of Excel proficiency is important
- System knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Navision and exposure to the hotel sector is desirable but not critical
- A high level of communication skills is essential; fluent English (written and spoken) is essential, and any Italian, German or Russian are desirable

- Must be studying the ACCA/CIMA/AAT
- Be able to travel to South West London
Job Offer
The successful candidate will be paid £26,000 - £28,000 depending on experience. They also offer a study support package and a competitive benefits package.
