The opportunity:

EY’s FAAS teams support clients in determining, monitoring and disclosing financial and nonfinancial insights for their stakeholders. FAAS addresses the CFO’s agenda and provides CFOs, controllers, treasurers and audit committees with insight and services to support compliance with evolving financial requirements and help provide transparency and trust in reporting to support better decision-making. We also help to support finance functions with robust financial data analytics and innovation through our tools.

Our services cover a wide range of accounting and reporting, transaction accounting, treasury, and corporate governance services that can make clients business meet changing market conditions, demands for greater transparency and changing regulatory requirements.

We aim to do this by providing innovative support to inspire confidence while addressing reporting challenges that stem from the changing economic and regulatory environment.

Your will assist FAAS team in further developing the consolidation offering to clients, advise and supporting them in the preparation of consolidated financial statements and improving their financial reporting to investors. You will also assist clients in improving and implementing efficient consolidation reporting processes. Deliver added value services to clients by providing industry insight, “out-of-the-box” ideas and solutions to improve their reporting model and to assist them in applying IFRS and Lux GAAP: conversions, implementation of new standards, accounting opinions, etc… will also be part of your daily job. At the same time you will of course manage you own client relationships, being professional in your service to them and ensuring that engagements are executed in accordance with the firm's methodologies and guidance, professional standards and local legal and regulatory requirements.

Your key responsibilities:

As part of the team, your role would be:

  • To assist FAAS team in further developing the consolidation offering to clients, advise and supporting them in the preparation of consolidated financial statements and improving their financial reporting to investors. You will also assist clients in improving and implementing efficient consolidation reporting processes.
  • To assist clients in the identification and implementation of technological reporting tools and processes through for example the use of Power BI, PMO and data analysis procedures and by providing trainings.
  • To deliver added value services to clients by providing industry insight, “out-of-the-box” ideas and solutions to improve their reporting model and to assist them in applying IFRS and Lux GAAP. GAAP conversions, implementation of new standards, accounting opinions, etc…will also be part of your daily job.
  • At the same time, to supervise staff teams and you own clients’ relationships, being professional in your service to them and ensuring that engagements are executed in accordance with the firm's methodologies and guidance, professional standards and local legal and regulatory requirements.
  • To contribute to the team development through on-the-job staff coaching and participation to teams trainings.

Skills and attributes for success

  • You have 2-3 years of relevant work experience in any of the following fields: Reporting, Controlling, Consolidation, Business Intelligence or Audit.
  • You have had exposure to consolidations and group reporting. The use of consolidation software would be a distinct advantage.
  • You are dynamic and client oriented, looking to work in a rapidly growing business and having the ability to develop excellent business relationship with clients.
  • We would like to observe an entrepreneurial mindset and are willingness to contribute to business growth, expecting you to be a strong team player, with good project management skills, confident and good communicator.

You are fluent in English. Any additional language skills such as French or German would be considered as an asset.
