As a part of role, your responsibility includes:
- Delivery of BAU and IMBS recons (Reconciliation of ledger balances with trade level information) per US GAAP, IFRS, etc.
- Maintaining strong relationship and working closely with various partners which includes Product Control, Legal Entity Finance, Regulatory Team, Liquidity team, Project team and Capital Reporting team to discuss issues and improving regular process task
- Continuous improvement of system architecture by understanding product accounting aspect
- Aligning with all the control requirements including SOX requirements
- Investigating and analysing the reason of differences between ledger balances and in trade detail repository
- Ensuring timely resolution of issues with IT teams
- Coordinating with business and change team on new projects, new business, testing
- Identify and ensure effective management of dependencies within/outside of any project
- Providing regular updates and highlight key challenges to relevant business partners
- Work with team and support to achieve the desired results & make recommendations to enhance delivery
- Ensuring all the necessary documentations

Financial Accounting is responsible for the legal and regulatory reporting including notes and disclosures of Credit Suisse and the associated controls around the data referenced in this process.
The Credit Suisse Group Finance- FMAR FDM team is mainly responsible to deliver month end reconciliations of ledger vs sub-ledger for multiple entities. The reconciliation would be for all types of accounts like Balance Sheet, Off- Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss.
- Team is involved in both Month End and Intra Month Balance Sheet program (IMBS).
- Team is also involved into continuous improvement of system architecture by implementing product accounting aspects and life cycle.
- Team supports various products including OTC derivatives, Security lending & borrowing, Repos, Cash securities, Accrued coupons, exchange traded derivatives, long term debts, OTC cash collateral, Loans & money market and corresponding off balance sheet products.

To excel in this role, you should possess below:
- Relevant University Degree i.e. accounting or finance related. Qualified Chartered Accountant / MBA Finance preferred. Proven experience of 8-10 years in a financial service industry with prior experience in banking or similar industry. Experience of project execution in area of operational improvement and finance system migration
- Sound knowledge of global banking products like Loans, Derivatives, Repo etc. Working knowledge of Agile product development methodology will be added advantage (desirable)
- Ability to think logically and independently to tackle problems. Ability to work on tight deadlines and optimally with people from other departments in the organization
- Good written and verbal communication skills, decision making, presentation/documentation and excel skills. Strong problem solving capabilities and passion for developing innovative solution
- Ambitious, dedicated who can work on own initiative whilst also working collaboratively and deliver on time with a high level of integrity and flexibility, sense of urgency, attention to detail and quality standards
